Professor David Katamba, represented the ICT-4MRPQ Project at the Tropical Summit 2024—an international conference bringing together experts and innovators from around the globe on issues of climate change, research, agriculture, higher education and so many other SDG’s. On November 7, 2024, Prof. Katamba served as a key speaker in a session themed “Mobility Exchange and Higher Education Research: Promoting Multilateral Clusters of Excellence.”
Prof. Katamba highlighted the pivotal role of ICT in enhancing mobility exchange programs and elevating higher education research. Drawing from the successes of the ICT-4MRPQ Project, he illustrated how technological advancements can facilitate seamless collaboration among educational institutions worldwide with a focus on the ICT4MRPQ project at MUBS, Mbarara University and Makerere University. He emphasized the importance of building multilateral clusters of excellence to foster innovation, share knowledge, and tackle global challenges collectively.
