The academic and administrative staff at Makerere University Business school (MUBS) underwent a hybrid training in ICT usage for Masters Research. The training was focused on equipping these key stakeholders on the usage of the E-supervision platform which is being developed and implemented by the ICT-4MRPQ Project.
The staff appreciated the initiative as it will improve the way they handle masters research students. Some of the benefits they pointed out include easy allocation and management of supervisors, reviewers and examiners, quick and seamless management of the research process which also embeds a crucial element of transparency.
Academic staff hailed the system for it easy tracking of research activities, communication between supervisors, students and administrators. They pointed out that the system will enable the students produce more relevant research focused on the direction of the development and societal growth priorities.
